Shingles and House Wrap

I love when I go to the house after work and see that there are big changes.   Today just happened to be one of those days; the roof was shingled!  They are BP shingles; style: Mystique, colour: Antique Slate.  Also going on the last few days has been the installation of the house wrap, Mento 1000.  The house wrap is tightly sealed using specialty tape and acts as an air barrier.  It is sealed to the EPS using a product called Blueskin.  The house wrap is also a vapour open membrane that allows moisture to escape from the inside out.  I’ll go into more detail on this in another post; tonight however, I just wanted to post a few pictures of the progress 🙂

Shingles are on! I’ve realized that many of my pictures these days have a big shadow on them… a result of the fact that I am only able to get to the house in the evenings after work these days.

Wow! The shingles and house wrap went on so quickly! Looking good. Sue and I rode out on the bike earlier in the week – on that windy day! We are looking forward to seeing the wonderful windows being installed!
